  • Funding from Hampshire County Council: We have an ‘in principle’ confirmation of funding to continue the work we have been doing with Hampshire schools. Call 01483 230 939 for more information and to book.
  • Funding from Surrey County Council: We are getting news from some of our supporters that the member for Children’s Services at Surrey CC, Councillor Mary Angell, has said ‘there will be no cuts for Disability Challengers’. This is a great announcement which we welcome. We’ve been campaigning hard since June 2010 – with the government and lately through brilliant parent support with local councillors – to preserve funding for short breaks for disabled children. We’re looking forward to getting full details from Surrey County Council officers. We’re also looking forward to working with Surrey County Council to help  ensure that all the increased funding for short breaks which has been allocated over the next three years – from 2012 onwards – goes directly to services for disabled children, young people and their families.
  • Please look at our vacancies page for any jobs at Challengers – pass it on….
  • Parent and Toddlers at Guildford will run Wednesdays and Fridays 10.30am – 12.30pm from 4 April 2011 (and will stop running on Thursday). No need to book, just turn up to play.
